Highlights include the new SwiftTest Enterprise product

We are very proud to announce the latest SwiftTest product release v3.2!  Among the highlights, the launch introduces a brand new product:  SwiftTest Enterprise.  The new software interface supports improved collaboration and productivity within storage validation teams.

Also in the v3.2 release:

• Support for testing Web Services and Object storage with new HTTP parsing constructs for dynamic content and HTTPS protocol support. 
• Added VAAI emulation:  Users can subject storage systems under test to stressful conditions found in virtualized environments with the ability to simulate hypervisor behaviors. 
• Advanced Load Profiles allow complex workloads to be modeled that exhibit transient read and write spikes found in production data centers. 
• New usability features such User Parameter Aliases were implemented to reduce the time to test.

We had a very successful SNW event last week in Orlando that included a briefing with Storage Switzerland.  Colm Keegan, a Senior Analyst at Storage Switzerland wrote this article highlighting Go Daddy’s use of SwiftTest to validate their storage technologies and provide more meaningful SLAs for their end users.

Among the various use cases, Go Daddy leverages SwiftTest to uncover bugs and performance related bottlenecks in vendor products that the vendor didn’t know existed.  They also test new feature sets like deduplication for backup workloads prior to implementing them into production.
