SwiftTest Releases First NAS Storage Testing Solution
Enables Vendors and Enterprises to Assess Functionality and Performance
SANTA CLARA, CA — March 31, 2009 — SwiftTest today announced the launch of the SwiftTest 3000, a functional and load testing solution for Networked Attached Storage (NAS). The SwiftTest 3000 enables vendors to validate the performance and functionality of their fileservers and storage-aware network devices, and enterprises to do evaluations before purchasing. This highly configurable and high-performance product replaces racks of servers and homegrown software with a single appliance that is controlled by an intuitive user interface.
“Vendors have had to cobble together homegrown software and use racks of servers to validate their products before releasing to the market,” said Clay Marr, CEO at SwiftTest. “The SwiftTest 3000 offers QA managers and developers a robust testing solution, that lets vendors focus on building their products — not building test tools. And replacing racks of servers with a single appliance significantly reduces energy consumption.”
SwiftTest 3000 enables vendors to comprehensively test CIFS v1, v2 and NFS v2 and v3 implementations on their fileservers, WAN accelerators and other storage-aware network devices. It simulates thousands of users reading and writing files, changing file attributes and administering directories. The intuitive user interface makes configuring complex tests easy, and the included sample tests let users start testing in less than an hour.
SwiftTest was founded by test industry veterans who were driven to create the next generation test platform. SwiftTest is located in Santa Clara, California and is privately funded.
