Products Overview
SwiftTest products are 2U appliances with every port configurable as either client or fileserver, which provides ultimate flexibility in test configuration. By simulating clients accessing storage and large filesystems, you can test networked storage, storage-aware network devices, and storage services:
- SwiftTest Client simulates large numbers of clients accessing CIFS/SMB, NFS, and iSCSI storage
- SwiftTest Server simulates large installations of CIFS/SMB, NFS, and iSCSI storage
SwiftTest 3000 and SwiftTest 5000
The two products use the same Test Development Environment and offer the same range of protocols. The difference is in the physical interfaces provided and the load they can generate. SwiftTest aims to bring technologies to a variety of environments with increasing flexibility, and we want customers to be able to choose the system that best fits their product line or testing needs.

- SwiftTest 5000: 2x10Gb Ethernet ports plus one management port. It generates up to 30Gbps of traffic. Specs...
Test Development Environment
The products include a graphical interface called the SwiftTest Test Development Environment that enables easy test configuration and includes sample tests and wizards to get you testing quickly. The application sits on any user-supplied Windows system and with it, you can create tests across protocols with fast parameter changes and reconfiguration so you can quickly run and rerun tests. Real-time results reporting allows you to drill down to determine where your performance bottlenecks are so you can make targeted changes efficiently. More..
How would the SwiftTest system fit into my environment?
SwiftTest solutions are perfect on both sides of the network, with ports configured as either client or fileserver.
SCENARIO:
Storage Device Testing
Say you’re testing a storage device. In the past, you simulated client traffic using tens or even hundreds of servers. And the software you used to generate the load was difficult to maintain, inflexible, and required expensive licenses and hardware. With SwiftTest, you can simulate a variety of load types by simply using the SwiftTest Test Development Environment to generate client traffic from one or more ports.
SCENARIO:
Storage-Aware Network Device Testing
Say you’re testing a storage-aware network device. In the past, you needed a fileserver plus tens or even hundreds of servers to generate the client traffic. With SwiftTest, you can replace both your client systems and fileserver with a single SwiftTest appliance. Simply configure some ports as client and some as server, then use the SwiftTest Test Development Environment to configure and run your tests.
