SwiftTest Test Development Environment

The SwiftTest Test Development Environment is a graphical interface that enables fast test configuration with parameters easily set at run time. It includes sample tests and wizards, and features extensive built-in reports that are updated dynamically during testing.

The SwiftTest Automation Framework

SwiftTest Automation is available to to provide maximum choice in how you set up and run your tests. All configuration options available in the Test Development Environment are also available in the SwiftTest Automation framework. Automation uses an XML configuration file that you can have automatically generated by the TDE, or choose to create it yourself using your favorite scripting tools.

After your test is set up, use your favorite scripting language to modify your parameters and run your tests, changing a single parameter or as many as you wish with each iteration. SwiftTest Automation enables ultimate control — a common scenario is to quickly build the test in the GUI of the development environment, then modify one or more parameters for each test run using a scripting language. For example, you might want to test the performance of reads with varying block sizes.
